The Hidden Beauty…Revirginize it and feel Beautiful!

Revirginize: The very thought and idea of getting back virginity, had probably emerged centuries back. But the stories we hear, are practically unbelievable to the modern man. Back then, there were super powers that protected these blessed women to get back their virginity by just undergoing severe penance, or bathing in the holy rivers!

Over time when the world entered a new era, the super powers faded, and women became a much underrated gender of the society for reasons still not known. The society became more rigid with customs and rules that women were compelled to follow, and virginity became a woman’s purity check!

With the changing world, there has been a rise in a lot of unwilling professions for women, especially in many Asian countries including India largely. For some it is a compulsion, and for some it’s just pleasure.

Becoming a virgin again…

As a doctor, in my 16 years of practice I have seen an increasing number of women from northern and western India opting for a Hymenoplasty surgery. With the growing lifestyle changes, women from the southern states have also been on a high rise in opting for a hymen reconstruction.

Binita Singh (Name Changed) who came from Warangal seemed embarrassed at the beginning of her consultation. She repeatedly urged not to mention or specify the nature of her surgery in her discharge certificate. She seemed worried and did not want even her family to know about her surgery, so much so, that even the telephone number and emergency contact details she gave were false. The lady, in her twenties, was unmarried, and it was quite evident that she had lost her virginity quite early. She was about to get married and was presumably worried about her future. She took some time coming to the point, and was full of apprehension when she finally started opening up. We assured her of being professionally confidential with our clients after which she felt comforted.

Hymenoplasty in layman’s words, means getting a woman’s virginity back with a plastic surgery of the Hymen!

The Cosmetic Solution to regain virginity

With modern advancements, the medical system has been armed with cosmetic solutions for the women today. Plastic surgeons and Gynecologists across the country are recreating female virginity with a simple 40-minute procedure.

What is a Hymenoplasty?

“Hymen” is an incomplete mucosal wall or delicate membrane at the entry of the vagina. It has no purpose in body. Hymenoplasty is plastic surgery of the hymen. It is a painless surgery that reconstructs the hymen, which tears during sexual intercourse, or trauma.

Why do people want a Hymenoplasty?

Hymenoplasty is a growing trend today. The list of takers is growing year by year — young upwardly mobile women between relationships, middle-aged women looking for sexual pleasure, sex workers quitting the trade to marry or to gratify fussy clients, rape victims wanting to undo the trauma and would-be-brides afraid of honour killings are the ones mostly at the nip & tuck, to avoid any problems in their marriages. Most of these women come affluent families, big cities and not rural belles. We perform at least two hymenoplasty every month, at our Ambrosia Clinic in Hyderabad.

The numbers have definitely increased over the last five years, but I wouldn’t call it a dramatic increase. It’s mostly unmarried, young women, at least 60 per cent of whom are college students. They are far too worried about what their families, and the prospective grooms will say, so they insist on getting the procedure done.

Can virginity be restored?

Yes, Of course! Once a Hymenoplasty is performed, it bleeds on having intercourse like a normal vagina usually does, and looks 100% natural with absolutely no traces of any surgery being detected.

How is it done?

Hymenoplasty is a short surgical procedure, usually performed under a local anesthesia. The plastic surgeon stitches up the torn edges of the hymen with fine dissolvable sutures, leaving no signs of any surgery being done. The sutures dissolve and the recovery takes about a week. There is no pain during or after the surgery. However, in case of any discomfort, the patient must immediately inform the doctor to avoid any possible risks and complications.

When should it be done?

You can get a hymenoplasty done any time as per your wish, but if you are unmarried, it is advisable at least one month before marriage. Once the surgery is done, it is as normal as the original, and won’t break until sexual intercourse is resumed again.

Does it require rest post surgery?

No rest is needed surgery post surgery. You can be as normal as you were before the surgery with precautions and advices that your doctor gives you.

Does hymenoplasty also tighten the vagina?

The vagina in young women is usually tight. It gets loose with normal delivery, age or obesity. If you want to get a vaginal tightened, and if your doctor also advises the same, it calls for an additional surgery which can be done along with the hymenoplasty surgery. A vaginal tightening is also a scarless and undetectable procedure.

How safe and effective is the procedure?

Hymenoplasty is a safe procedure as it does not involve any foreign material being used. The sutures that we use are made of dissolvable material and the natural membrane grows over the sutures covering it and forms a new natural mucosal membrane just like the original hymen.

Will there be any future problems during pregnancy?

No. There are no risks with regard to future pregnancies.

Can it be done more than once?

Yes. A hymen reconstruction is a very small stitch procedure that can be done more than once and is also safe to be done more than once.

Who normally get it done?

It might surprise many people that this procedure is one of the most popular among young women world over, and women have been known to travel long distances for this procedure.

So what kind of patients do clinics usually come across?

Well, just about everybody…

There are:

  • Women who already have children, but wish to surprise their partners
  • Women whose hymens have ruptured over the course of their lives
  • Women who belong to rigid ethnic backgrounds that consider an intact hymen to be the proof of virginity
  • Victims of rape
  • To be brides
  • Women who wish to feel young again

In short, the list keeps growing. The patients are as varied as their stories, are usually within the range of 21 to 27 years. But in so many years of experience, I have seen women as young as 18 and as mature as 45 who want a hymen reconstruction to be done.

So on the note of International Women’s Day, Ambrosia Clinic wishes you, and assures that you’re in safe hands if you are willing to revirginize yourself!
