Facelift Surgery in Hyderabad

A youthful face has smooth contour and no excess skin. Ageing commonly starts in the thirties. With ageing comes loose skin, folds, wrinkles and sagging of face. So far facelift surgery was the only option to lift the face. Facelift surgery brings major change but is not suitable or safe for younger people in their thirties and forties when skin and muscles start getting loose.

Consultation

Pre-procedure consultation is a critical part of any treatment. Evaluation

Once you have decided to undergo a Surgical Facelift procedure in Hyderabad at Ambrosia, you will be evaluated for your fitness for anaesthesia and surgery (if the procedure you choose is surgical) by Dr Priti or if necessary by the anaesthesiologist. Your diagnostic test reports will be studied and you will be examined by taking measurements and clinical photographs for your medical record.

You will sign the consent forms and will be given detailed preoperative instructions in writing.

Surgery

Before taking you inside the operation room, parts to be sculpted will be marked with you standing to shape them to the desired size.

Recovery

You will be advised to rest and avoid physical activity until the incisions have healed. You will need some assistance initially. The recovery period may vary depending on the extent of the procedure, but for the first few days to up to a week or more after the surgery one may expect some swelling and bruising and general discomfort.

About the Facelift procedure at Ambrosia

The surgical procedure for facelift follows a simple protocol. The incision is in the hairline, around the ear and behind it. The skin over the cheek is lifted up from underlying muscles, pulled backwards and upwards and excess skin is cut out and stitched. Underlying muscles also may be tightened, and liposuction of the under chin area may be performed. Following surgery, incisions can be easily concealed by your hair or with makeup. There may also be a small incision hidden underneath your chin.

Non-Surgical Facelift Treatments

Following are the non-surgical facelift treatments available at Ambrosia Clinic, Hyderabad:

RF Skin Tightening: Skin is tightened using USFDA approved radiofrequency technology. a painless procedure with no downtime . More than one sitting is required.
Fillers (Juvederm): Juvederm is a US-FDA approved injection for wrinkles. Liquid facelift and 7 point facelift are techniques of giving filler injections to get the effect of facelift.
Botox: Botox is a wonder anti-ageing injection.Nefertiti lift is a technique of giving Botox injection to define jawline and give lifted appearance to face.
Thread Lift: Absorbable threads can be placed in a minimally invasive clinic procedure into or beneath the skin to tighten the skin.
Profilo: An anti-aging wonder-injection used to prevent ageing and make skin regenerate and tighten. It is used in the face, neck, hands and body.

Recovery Timeline

Next Day

After surgical facelift: Next day of surgery your face will look swollen and bruised, especially the eyelids. Swelling starts going down after 48 hrs . It's best you avoid meeting people till the swelling and bruising is gone. Pain is not significant. You can do self care .

How long does the result of a facelift surgery last?

Facelift surgery results are much superior and impressive compared to non surgical and the results last 5-10 years . We now advise maintenance treatments after surgery to get the most longest lasting results .

If I opt for surgery, will I still require Botox and Juvederm treatments?

Yes, you may benefit with Botox and Juvederm injections to maintain and improve on your surgical results.

At what age should I consider undergoing facelift treatment?

Everyone ages differently. Race, genetics, general health and history of weight loss play an important role. Europeans and North Americans need facelift earlier than Indians or Africans. People who have had fluctuations in weight tend to have more facial sagging. Facelift Inner is done for people 40 years and older. People in the limelight tend to get it done earlier so that the change is subtle and natural, not drastic.

Facelift surgery can be done from 30-75 years olds .

Will there be visible scars after a facelift surgery?

The portion of scar in front of the ear and behind it may be visible in pulled back hairstyles. People usually cover it with a changed hairstyle and concealer. With time the scar fades naturally and is visible only on close inspection.

Will it be obvious that I have had a facelift?

People will definitely notice that you look younger and refreshed but they won’t see scars.

How is a surgical facelift different from a laser facelift?

These are 2 different things. Surgery removes the skin, fat and tightens the muscles. Laser resurfacing by the CO2 laser can remove superficial wrinkles but can not do the other things. Milder laser rejuvenation procedures like IPL give even less result than CO2 laser, after multiple sittings. Younger people with early fine wrinkles of the face without real sagging can opt for the laser.

What is Thread lift and how is it different from surgical facelift?

Special barbed threads are available (imported) that can be inserted under the skin through long needles under local anaesthesia. Multiple threads are required. The threads can pull the skin in the desired direction. Advantages of threads are- no scars and no major surgery. Disadvantages are that the result does not last very long and many threads are needed which can be expensive. However, with a surgical procedure, the results last up to 6 yrs or so but with some scarring.

What is a non-surgical facelift?

A non-surgical face lift is a non-invasive skin tightening procedure. This helps to lift the facial contours and adds volume in the specific areas of the face; without undergoing any surgery.
