Filler Injections

A variety of ready to inject temporary and permanent filler substances are available to fill up wrinkles, fine lines, contour deformities, and volumetric deficiencies of face, cheeks, and lips associated with aging, developmental anomalies, and certain diseases. Fillers provide a simple non surgical option for treating these problems.

Restylene, Perlane, Esthelis, Revanesse are the brand names of some hylauranic acid products and Aquamid is Polyacrylamide gel. There are many other substances like collagen, calcium hydroxyappetite etc which are not yet introduced in India. Basically all these substances are tested to be safe for injections into the face. Temporary ones last 4-6 months and there are also permanent fillers. Other than these fat injection of person’s own fat can also be used for the similar purpose.

» Anaesthesia : Usually no anaesthesia is required. Ice packs on the face temporarily dull the sensation, or local anaesthetic cream 1 hour before injection can be applied
